Ella Yelton
Instructor
My name is Ella Yelton and I danced at April’s School
of Dance for 15 years. I started dancing when I was 3
years old. At the age of 4 I was given the opportunity to
compete on the competition team. Where I competed
in jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop. I am currently
attending Appalachian State University where I am
majoring in Elementary Education. Throughout my
dancing career at April’s I was awarded multiple first
place overalls, high scoring routines, photogenic
awards, title contestant awards, and multiple
scholarships. When I was 11 years old I was awarded
the “Be Discovered” scholarship from Star Talent. I
was also awarded “Dancer of the year” in 2018. Dance
has been such an influential part of my life and has
shaped me into the person I am today. I am now able
to lend my talent to teaching ballet, tap, tumbling and
hip hop. Watching children have fun while learning so
much, brings so much joy to my life.
